Rock Pi 4
#9
Interesting to see they have upgraded this system with a slightly faster RK3399 the OP1 and onboard emmc as standard, very tempting. But Ali Express only seems to have a few of the more expensive versions which is overkill for me.

Im also focusing on squeezing performance on the Pi4 for projects to see where the bottle necks are, its quite interesting that with small changes I have been able to more than double the performance of my empires project on the Pi4. Im sure the same care and attention to updates and tweeks can get similar performance on other small core gpus (the jetson barely even gets warm doing games).

Most of the RK3399's I have are doing Empires at a fairly steady 30fps, playable but... (the pi4 handles mostly stable 60fps) so its certainly worth an exploration to see if there's are things each system needs to improve its performance.

But this new version is certainly interesting..
