Well just as the 2nd edition of my book has gone to print, Microsoft has released a new version of Visual Studio... what fun.
The new VS2026 is available for free from https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/insiders/
VS2022 is however still available and you can continue to use that for as long as you want. https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/
I have not had the time to investigate any problems with the 2026 version, but I am sure it will be fine and introduce a load of nice new features, but its new, so of course there will be WTF moments when something does not work as expected. I will try to list things as they come up if they relate to any of our content.
The website content should be ready to upload in November which is when the book is due to launch, and I will continue to use VS2022 for a while.
